My Bigfoot Sighting

Tonight’s guest has Bigfoot sightings and encounters regularly these days, but that hasn’t always been the case for her. Before the summer of 2011, she’d never seen a Sasquatch. Since then, she’s had countless sightings and experiences with what she describes as a family of Sasquatch living in the woods around her home. One member of that family is a juvenile she affectionately calls “Littlefoot.” She's had numerous interactions with him over the years, although she isn’t too sure how much he appreciates that nickname. Tonight’s guest, Lori Crowson, is a Sasquatch investigator who lives in North Texas. Lori has had seven Bigfoot sightings in four different states. Some got her adrenaline flowing; others were less intense. Lori had her first Sasquatch sighting in the 1970s, when she was 13 years old. At the time, she was having a picnic with her mother, stepfather, and brother on Mount Evans in Colorado. It was June, but it was still chilly up there. As they enjoyed their lunch, they began hearing strange sounds that reminded them of someone hitting a baseball with a bat. They talked about how unlikely a place it was for baseball practice. Moments later, large snowflakes began to fall, so they packed up and headed for their car. Tonight’s first guest, Derin Franks, had his Bigfoot sighting in the William B. Bankhead National Forest, in North Alabama, in 2017. It happened on the last day of deer hunting season. Derin had just walked to the edge of a greenfield when he decided to sit down on a log, just inside the tree line. Tonight’s guests, Ray and Lisa Haley, moved to a 3-acre property in the Ozarks of Arkansas back in 2022. For the first year they lived there, nothing unusual happened, largely because they had cleared a significant portion of their property. The following year, however, after letting nature reclaim the cleared land, strange things started to happen. In the summer of 2023, Ray and Lisa were sitting on their back porch when, all of a sudden, they were hit with a very foul odor that smelled like a mixture of death, skunk, and other nasty things. Just moments after that horrible odor appeared, a very loud, guttural scream rang out. When they heard the vocalization, they looked at each other with a “What was that?” expression on their faces. On May 20th, 2019, at 9:35 AM, tonight’s guest, Matt Lankford, was driving his 18-wheeler south on Highway 84, between Abilene and Coleman, Texas. At the time, he was about two-thirds of the way to Coleman when he looked ahead, to the right side of the highway, and saw what he initially thought was a black bull. As he got closer to the “bull,” the figure moved a short distance. When it did, it moved in such a strange way that its body seemed to undulate. After seeing it move, Matt began to wonder if what he was looking at might actually be a large, black hog. As Matt drew closer, however, his perception of the figure changed again. Now, he wondered if it might be a large man wearing a black arctic suit. When Matt got within a few hundred feet of the figure, though, he realized it wasn’t a man. Tonight’s guest, Phil, has had a multitude of Sasquatch sightings over the years, since having his first one on Thanksgiving Day of 1992. That first experience, however, will always stand out in his mind as one of his most memorable. That day, Phil had family over at his house for Thanksgiving dinner. Phil was heavily into bodybuilding back then, so he didn’t eat as much as everyone else at the table and finished his dinner first. Tonight’s guest, Dan Nedrelo, had his first Sasquatch sighting in 2019, but his experiences with them began long before that and took place in several states. In fact, Dan’s first experience happened all the way back in 1971, while he was staying at a church camp in Northern Wisconsin. He didn’t see the Sasquatch that made its presence known that night, but he certainly heard it. It hissed loudly and did various other things to make its presence known. Tonight’s guest, Travis Simmons, started having Bigfoot experiences at a very young age. Years later, after moving to Tennessee, Travis finally had his first irrefutable Bigfoot sighting. It happened in 2012, when he was about 33 years old and living in the Knoxville area. At the time, Travis lived in an apartment complex that was in somewhat of a metropolitan area that had woods around it. Strangely, while he was at work earlier that day, Travis had a bad feeling that something was going to happen when he got home that night. Tonight’s first guest, Kevin Frankenfield, is a hunting and fishing guide who had his Bigfoot sighting in Washington State, in November of 2023. When his sighting happened, he was working in the Deer Park Area. The morning his sighting happened, Kevin had woken up early, the way he normally does, and was on the phone with his girlfriend. She had her first sighting in the fall of 1969. That experience happened at a two-level fort that she and the neighborhood kids used play in, two doors down from where Annette lived back then. Tonight’s first guest, Josh, had his first Bigfoot sighting around 2002, in Davis County Kentucky. At the time, he was helping his uncle clear a treeline on a property he owned with his bulldozer. The property had a lot of hills and deep ravines, because his property was close to where the Ohio River river bottoms started. Josh and his uncle had been working for some time when, all of a sudden, Josh heard a tremendous roar ring out behind him. The roar was so loud, it was easy to hear over all the noise his uncle’s bulldozer was making. Josh turned to look for the source of the sound and saw animals scattering, so he knew he wasn’t the only one who had heard the roar. Not knowing what to make of it, he turned back and continued watching his uncle operate the bulldozer. Tonight’s guest, Parmalee, has had a plethora of Bigfoot sightings. All of which happened within a 3-mile radius of her home. That’s due, in large part, to the fact that for years, she had a clan of Sasquatch living across the road from her property. Parmalee had her first Bigfoot sighting, one night, in August of 2017. She was about 7 minutes from home, at the time, driving up a hill. There was a little convenience store at the top of the hill, on the right-hand side of the road. Tonight’s guest, Dave, is from Mountain Iron, Minnesota but he had his sighting in Stillwater, Minnesota, in 1992. He was on a family hunting trip when he had his sighting. He and his family members were deer hunting on land that he and his family would travel to every year, like a tradition. The land was near Grand Rapids, Minnesota. There were lots of rolling hills and beautiful scenery there. When Dave had his sighting, he was on a ridgetop, hunting out of a 16-foot-tall ladder stand. A short time after climbing into his stand, he saw a pickup drive into view with around 8 men in its bed. Dave knew the men were getting ready to do what’s called a drive, where they would spread out a walk through the woods, in an attempt to drive deer toward hunters who were lying in wait, up ahead. When the truck had driven about a half mile across a clearing Dave was by, he started to hear footsteps coming from the bottom of the hill he was sitting on top of. On January 4th, of 2003, tonight’s guest left work at about a quarter to 7 PM. He was working in Tampa, Florida at the time. About 15 minutes after he had left work, he was driving down U.S. 301, heading for home. At the time, he was fiddling with the stereo in his truck, trying to find a good station, when all of a sudden he looked to his left because he saw movement from something white. Thinking it was another car or a deer, he slammed on his brakes. Tonight’s guest, Stan, had his first Bigfoot sighting a year ago, almost to the day. You see, on March 1st, 2025, one of Stan’s friends, Ed, who is a member of the B.F.R.O, called Stan and asked him if he’d like to go out looking for Bigfoot. Stan said, “sure,” so his friend took him out to a reservoir close to Stan’s home, in Oregon, that has Bureau of Land Management land around it. After they made it to the reservoir, they drove the mountain roads in that area. The two men were drinking iced tea as they drove up and down the roads, so eventually, Stan wound up needing to relieve himself, so he asked his friend to pull over. The decision to get out for that nature call was the genesis of what became an obsession for Stan when it comes to investigating Sasquatch. Tonight’s guest, Mel, has seen Yowies on two occasions. The first time she saw one, she was driving down a road and wound up hitting one with her car. That experience rattled her, but not nearly as much as her second Yowie encounter did. You see, the second time she saw a Yowie, she and her partner found themselves doing all they could to keep it from pushing its way into their house. The Yowie was on the outside of the door, pushing on it to get it to swing open while Mel and her partner were inside their house, pushing on the door with all their might, in an attempt to keep it from opening. Tonight’s guest, Doug Messer, had his first and only Bigfoot sighting in 1980. He had his sighting while he was in his bedroom, but his encounter started in the woods, behind his house, in Greenup County, Kentucky. You see, he had been camping in the woods behind his house with 3 friends of his. After the he and his 3 friends had turned in for the night, it started to rain pretty heavily and the rain washed out their camp. That caused them to decide to pack up their camp and head back to Doug’s house. After they had everything packed up, they had just started walking down an old timber road, to leave, when they noticed heavy footsteps pacing them to their right. When the boys would stop walking, the footsteps would stop too. They tested that several times and every time they’d stop walking the heavy footsteps would stop too. Tonight’s guest, Tommy, was raised in the city, but he decided to move to the country in 1982. He loved being out in the country, doing a lot of the things people do there, including fishing. One day, in the fall of 1982, Tommy was walking to a pond close to his property when he saw a Sasquatch. Back then, he would leave his house and take the fairly short walk back to that pond almost every day to fish, so he had made that walk numerous times, without any strange feelings or incident. That all changed one day, in late August of last year, when she went to a park near where she lives. When tonight’s first guest was 8 or 9 years old, a Sasquatch she calls “The Gorilla Man” started paying visits to her family’s farm, in Larue County, Kentucky. Their property is in a very remote area that’s a solid 20-minute drive from stores or any moderately populated areas. The first time she saw the Gorilla Man, she was in bed one night when all of a sudden, she saw that something was looking in her window at her. What she was looking at seemed to be about 8-feet tall, with a wide head, and very human-looking eyes. After staring, in awe, at the figure for some time, she jumped up and ran to her mother. A couple of years past, after that experience, before she saw the Gorilla Man again but see him again she did. Her encounters with him have continued to happen until present day. When tonight’s first guest was growing up, she had a series of experiences that she didn’t understand. That is, she didn’t understand them until she came face to face with what had been behind those experiences. It was a Sasquatch. Tim and Eric Vogel went to see Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot in the winter of 1976, when they were in their teens. Seeing that movie really sparked their interest in Sasquatch. About a month after seeing that movie, during a big snowstorm, something happened one morning that completely set the hook in them, with regards to their interest in the topic. The storm had dropped about 28 inches of snow on the area where Tim and Eric lived, in Western Massachusetts, and when the looked out their window that morning, they saw a horde of people in their driveway. There were Bigfoot investigators, news reporters, and other people out there who were focused on a trail of big tracks that led across their property. Tonight’s guest, Kathleen Tedder, had her first Sasquatch sighting when she was 4 years old and over the years, since then, she’s had sightings in 7 different states. You see, when Kathy was 4 years old, her family lived in Alaska. One day, back then, she was sitting at the kitchen table, looking out the Dutch door, on the back wall of their kitchen. Suddenly, she saw what her 4-year-old mind identified as being a man-bear eating cherries, from a cherry tree outside. The “man-bear” was brown and about 8 feet tall. Being as young as Kathy was, she decided that her best course of action would be to run out to him and give him a hug. So, she got up and started to run outside to do that. She had made it 3 steps out the door when, suddenly, her father grabbed her by the seat of her pants and pulled her back inside. Tonight’s guests, Montra Withers and Kyle Gibson, have had Bigfoot sightings in California and Washington State. Montra had her sighting in the late 70’s, in Tuolumne County, California. She’d gone on a camping trip with her parents, in their travel trailer. They found a nice camping spot to park their travel trailer and they stayed there for two weeks. Early one afternoon, Montra walked down a footpath, looking for a friend she had made while she and her family had been staying at that campsite, and wound up having way more excitement than she had bargained for. What happened next frightened Montra so much, she ran all the way back to he family’s trailer and stayed inside the trailer for the rest of their camping trip. On January 6th, of 2020, tonight’s guest, Ernie Pack, had his first Bigfoot sighting while he was in a cemetery, on top of Mitchell Hill, in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was doing a paranormal investigation there, at the time, with his wife, Denise. The area where they’d chosen to do their investigation is known by locals for being haunted. In fact, there’s a legend about the area that stemmed from people hearing what they thought was a baby crying in forests around that area. Tonight’s guest, Scott Hunt, had his first Bigfoot sighting in Americus, Georgia in July of 2022. When his sighting happened, he was mapping land that a paper mill owned, for a project that the company he worked for was about to begin. The land he was on was blanketed with pine trees. When Scott arrived at the property that day, Sasquatch was the last thing on his mind. He never would have thought Sasquatch could be in the area. He thought the only place they could have been was out west, in places like Washington or Oregon. That was about to change.
